What to Expect During a Professional Garage Door Installation

Most installations take three to five hours. Knowing the sequence makes it easy to tell a thorough crew from a rushed one.
Before the truck arrives
We confirm the rough opening, headroom, sideroom, and backroom measurements, then order the exact door and track configuration.
Clear about six feet inside the garage door so the crew can work safely.
Removal and prep
The old door comes down first — springs are unwound under control, never cut. Old tracks, brackets, and hardware are removed and hauled away.
Setting the new system
Panels are stacked and hinged from the bottom up, tracks are plumbed and squared, then the torsion spring is sized and wound to match the door's weight.
The opener is mounted, travel limits and force settings are programmed, and the photo-eye sensors are aligned.
The handoff
We run a balance test, a reverse test with a 2x4 board, and walk you through the remotes, keypad, and manual release before we leave.
